Artist Highlight: Stephanie Smart

Hey Rub-A-Dubsteppers, every week we feature an up and coming talent and this week we're spot lighting Stephanie Smart......The voice of timeless garage track 'It's the way'... a tune any old skool raver knows very well, she tells us what she's been up to since then and gives us a sneek peek at one of her unreleased tracks...

Read on to find out a bit more about her...

Starting out in Garage as an MC in 1996, Stephanie earned her place as alias MC Leethal Lady on the London stage by pushing her way through what seemed like an endless fight to be heard.  From singing into hairbrushes aged 7 dreaming of bright lights and raucous crowds, Stephanie finally realised the start of this dream when she moved full-time onto the live stage and began touring the '99 UK Garage smash "It's The Way" alongside the producer of the track DJ Rhythm Master, collectively known as 'Future Underground Nation'.

Stephanie maintained her own seperate projects for many years and for a period of two years or more, was touring both on the Club scene and also with live bands.  She wrote MC-style tracks and played them with the live backing of her friends 'Digress': www.digressmusic.com in cool venues in Camden, South London and the West End, and she also shared the lead vocal for a techno-rock band she joined and grew very tight with, called Gold Digger: www.golddiggerhq.com.  Several years into her live shows and in pursuit of a new challenge, she was approached and climbed aboard to spend two years touring with the Old Skool/Hardcore captains of the ship, Ratpack in 2007.  This meant Stephanie waved goodbye to all her other commitments and dived head-first into all that is weird and wonderful on the Rave scene.  With this project now over, Stephanie is on a solo songwriting and hibernation tip, accompanied by a new mantra - 'no rules, no boundaries, just good music'.

I leave you with an sample of one of her new tracks>>>>>>
