Where did the name Made come from?
Ahhh the name made! Well baisically when i was still in secondary school me and my bredrin found some spot full of graffiti! We were amazed and instantly wanted to start up doing that kind of stuff but we needed to think of a name this took looong for me because i wanted letter's i was happy with and the name Made worked well for me and i was doing graffiti with the name made for about a year and a half 2 years before i got into music and i thought Made is a big part of my name why not use it with music as well as graffiti!

What got you into Dubstep?
Around 2005 I think it was I cant really remember I first heard midnight request line from skream obviously. and i was instantly stunned by this type of music because I had never heard anything like this before and from there I just wanted to find out more about this genre. DJ/Producer Highlight: Balboa

This is Balboa, He's a DJ/Producer from Bournemouth and he's sick with it.

He gave us a little interview..read on innit ;)

Q. So where did the name Balboa come from?
A. The name comes from "Rocky Balboa", throughout the whole rocky series he changed his style to suite the fight circumstances and I try to do the same with my music. Also he never stopped trying until he reached his goals, and thats exactly what I intend to do.

Q. What got you into Dubstep?
A. Was my mate Badger (Dubstep DJ) who challenged me to make a banging Dubstep track. I sat down and soon found myself loving the sounds and endless limits to the genre.

Q. How long have you been producing for?
A. I started making tunes when I was 17, doing some crazy Hip-Hop beats etc. But I have been making Dubstep now for about a year and half. Still learning new stuff everyday!

Q. Top 5 Dubstep Tracks?
A. If I had my way i'd choose 5 of mine but I aint like dat...so heres my top 5 by other artists!

5. Nero - This Way
4. DJ Hoax - Zion
3. Blackheart - Dum Dumz (HD4000 RMX)
2. Wu-Tang - Pencil/MyPiano/Firehouse (Soroka Remixes)
1. Rusko - Love Is Real

Looking back at that top 5....talk about a random bunch of tunes!

Q. Any big plans in the pipeline?
A. Planning on at last dropping an E.P in the next few months "Let Me See Your Bass Face".

Q. What software/hardware are you workin with in the studio?
A. Logic Pro, with Ableton Live 8 + Reason 4 wired in, shit load of VSTs, Korg MicroKorg, and Mackie MR5 Studio Monitors.

Q. Anyone you wanna shout out?

Big ups to Rood.FM, Filthcabin.com, One-Two Records, Subvandals, Bournemouth Crew, and everyone else who is supporting me!

Artist Highlight: Cleveland Steamer (Free Download)

This is Cleveland Steamer - Take note of the name cos he's here to stay.

Representing Horsham, he's only been producing for just under a year and already has a nice selection of releases on Dub Cartel Label and has played out with Southbound Hangers. We caught up with him for a nice little interview. Read on to find out more about Cleveland Steamer and no, he doesn't like to shit on people....

How long have you been producing and what got you into Dubstep?
Well where to start mate, i've been producing since early february last year what got me into dubstep was being in a few metal bands. i was shown Rusko - woo boost and i thought right this is dubstep? I'll have to take a deeper look at this spent my time finding new artists and tracks stumbled across Datsik & Excision and from that moment I knew I wanted to produce. Being in a band with 5 other people was difficult we could never decide what we wanted to make we'd just sit around get high and try to make music together. I love the independence of being able to produce what I want.

Who/What are your influences?

My influences, my surroundings, my girl, my cat and donnie darko has to be one of my large influences what a sick film!

What equipment/software do you use to produce?

I use logic pro 8 and ableton live 8, I have to say I love using them both day in and day out... since I don't have a job I made it my priority to get signed and start making money from my hobby.

Highlight of your career so far?

I've had quite a few highlights... getting signed to dub cartel and having the honour to play with Southbound Hangers.

Where would you like to be in 2 years?

I'd like to be in a position where everything I own to do with technology, just works.

Anybody you would like to collaborate with in an ideal world?

Hopefully got some big collabs coming soon, though nothing for definite ;) but ideally i'd like to collab with Tomba or Downlink or culprate (lucky enough to remix one of his tunes) just someone who sets the standards for other producers.

Top 5 Dubstep tracks?
1. Devnik & Dux - Bumpy ride
2. Chasing Shadows - Amirah
3. Culprate - Don't do that
4. Downlink - Station six
5. Liquid Stranger - Meltdown

So now you've learned a little about the guy with the nasty name you might want to download this naughty little download to
